Cosmetic fixed braces work in the same way as traditional braces that are fixed to the teeth with a bracket and have wires attached to the teeth to gently move them into the desired position over a number of months.

Afterwards, retainers will be provided for use at home to prevent any relapsing of your teeth back into their old positions.
Invisalign is the name for a different type of teeth alignment treatment. Rather than having brackets and wires attached, you use a series of invisible aligners to move your teeth into the right place.

Each aligner is worn for around two weeks before you move on to the next one in the series. They can be removed when you wish, for example at mealtimes, and are easy to clean and care for, which is an important factor in any longer-term procedures.
